Write Like a Superhero! (Grades 3–5)
Get ready to unlock your writing superpowers! In this fun and interactive class taught by Mrs. Batman, students will receive step-by-step instruction to help them become strong, confident writers. We'll start by learning how to build solid sentences using key parts of speech. Students will practice writing both simple and complex sentences, adding detail and variety to their writing.

As we grow our skills, we’ll move into writing well-structured informational and persuasive paragraphs, narrative stories, and full essays. Students will learn to write with clarity and organization using the HIT-TEAR-TIE method—an easy-to-follow structure that helps young writers state a claim, incorporate evidence from sources, and explain their thinking with strong analysis.

Along the way, we’ll cover grammar, editing techniques, and revision strategies to make their writing even stronger. With fun prompts, creative practice, and a superhero theme, students will be equipped to write with power and purpose!
